Headline feature: your business can now offer recurring classes
The star of this release is full support for recurring classes and shared-room or resource bookings. If your business runs yoga, pilates, dance, fitness, language, or any group activity, you can now configure the class once and let your students sign up directly from the app.
Each session has its own capacity, its own attendee list, and the ability to cancel a single day without touching the rest of the schedule. For the business, that means moving away from managing attendee lists by message and keeping a clear view of who is coming to each session.
- Create a class template with day, time, and duration: it repeats automatically every week.
- Set the capacity per session: the system blocks sign-ups when full.
- Students sign up from the app without WhatsApp coordination.
- Roster view ready for you before each session starts.
- Per-session exceptions: cancel a single class without touching the rest.
- Book rooms or shared resources with the same flow — perfect for coworkings, studios, and multidisciplinary centers.
Business metrics dashboard
Until now, knowing how your business was doing meant opening Excel or doing math in your head. v1.0.9 introduces a basic metrics dashboard that keeps the business owner engaged with the product and, more importantly, gives them actionable data to decide better.
- Bookings per week and month with comparison against the previous period.
- Aggregated total revenue based on completed bookings.
- Top services by revenue to spot what generates the most value.
- Weekly summary notification with the auto-generated balance every Monday at 09:00.
Improvements for your clients
Small improvements that change the experience a lot: your client can now check their full history, filter by booking type, and repeat past appointments with one tap.
- Full booking history on the client profile, also accessible from the business side.
- Filters in the bookings widget: see only open, completed, or cancelled bookings.
- Repeat a past appointment with one tap (clients and business). Great for recurring services.
- Past bookings no longer allow editing or cancellation: closes future disputes.
- Last booking comments from the client visible to the team, to personalize the next visit.
Account security and control
This release reinforces security with multi-factor authentication and centralizes linked-account management. It also complies with the GDPR right to data portability by letting you download all your data in one click.
- Multi-factor authentication (TOTP) for users and businesses, configurable from Profile → Account settings.
- See which accounts you used to sign in (email/password, Google, Apple) and link new ones from your profile.
- Full data export in JSON from Profile → Export my data (GDPR Art. 20).
- Minimal audit logs for bookings: who created, edited, or cancelled them and when. If a client disputes, you have the record.
Redesigned web app and global notifications
The Bookniapp web version now feels like a modern browser app, not a clone of the mobile one. Better for reception, computer-based management, and teams that live on large screens.
Push notifications have been translated into every supported language and the web version security has been hardened.
- Web interface optimized with keyboard- and mouse-first flows.
- Hardened security in the web version: protection against browser-specific vectors.
- Push notifications translated into all supported languages (es, en, ca, and more).
- Weekly summary for businesses every Monday with the operational snapshot of the prior week.
- Share the booking-widget iframe code directly by email to a team member or your web developer.
Internal technical improvements
Behind-the-scenes refactor: the team has invested in architecture, performance, and code hygiene to accelerate upcoming releases.
- Migration to Riverpod as state-management system, foundation for new features with less friction.
- Automatic image optimization: less storage, faster loads.
- UIScene lifecycle support on iOS: better behavior in multitasking and iPad Split View.
How to update
Version 1.0.9 is available on the App Store and Google Play. If you have the app installed, update from the corresponding store. If you are new, download directly from our downloads page.
On the web version, the changes are live without any action on your side.
