Version 1.1
Last updated: 15 May 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how Bookniapp uses cookies and similar technologies on bookniapp.com.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be used for technical functions, security, analytics, and personalization.
2. Types of cookies we use
- Technical (required): essential for basic site functionality.
- Analytics: enabled only if you provide consent to measure website usage and performance.
- Marketing and personalization: currently not enabled by default and require explicit consent.
3. Cookie and technology details
The table below reflects current usage on this website.
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
bookniapp_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage) |
Bookniapp | Technical | Stores the user's cookie decision, including an opaque random identifier (UUID) that allows correlating the decision with its evidentiary record in case of a dispute. The UUID does not identify any person by itself. | 24 months | Legitimate interest / legal obligation to manage consent |
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) |
Google LLC | Analytics | Aggregated traffic and performance measurement | Up to 24 months | Consent |
Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk) |
Microsoft Corporation | Analytics | Heatmaps and session recordings to improve user experience | _clck: 1 year · _clsk: 1 day | Consent |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-bot security) | Cloudflare, Inc. | Technical/security | Prevent spam and abuse on forms | Variable by provider | Legitimate interest in security |
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are only loaded after analytics consent is granted through the cookie banner. If consent is withdrawn, they are disabled immediately and their cookies are deleted.
Consent log (legal proof): Bookniapp stores every decision you make in the banner (version, selected option, anonymous technical markers) in its own infrastructure as proof of consent under Art. 7.1 of the GDPR. These records are kept for a maximum of 24 months and are automatically deleted on expiry. We do not store personal data or full IP addresses — only the country code and a truncated browser identifier.
4. How to manage or withdraw consent
- You can accept, reject, or configure cookies in the initial banner.
- You can change your choice anytime from the Manage cookies link in the footer.
- You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.
5. International transfers
Some third-party providers (for example, Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, appropriate safeguards are applied under data protection law.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when cookie usage changes or legal requirements are updated. The latest version will always be published on this page.
